My husband and I spent 5 hours on Bryan’s new catamaran. The boat is beautiful and spotless. The crew were very nice and accommodating. Bryan sent some jet ski’s out, and we were given a tour of the mangroves, then we could ride around the bay on our own. We also snorkeled and stopped at another beach with a cave to explore. I caught a tuna! (Well, the captain did, but let me reel it in). Then Chef Diego made sashimi with it! Delicious. We ended the tour with a gorgeous sunset and champagne. I highly recommend using Bryan and his company. You won’t be disappointed.

Highlight of our trip
This was the highlight of our trip! The crew was the most accommodating, kind and extremely fun! The boat is perfect with tons of comfortable seating options. They offered us a huge variety of drinks and snacks. We saw dolphins, 3 whales and a gorgeous sunset. I would highly recommend spending a day sunning and swimming on this boat!

We had THE BEST time fishing with Tropical Explorers during our time in Costa Rica! We're so happy we met Bryan & his crew! They were all very experienced & we caught 4 Mahi Mahi during our half day excursion! The crew knew exactly where to take us & we had such a WONDERFUL time on our fishing trip with them! The boat was meticulously kept, they provided drinks, and literally handled everything for us except reeling in the fish. We had such an AMAZING time in Costa Rica with them! So much so we booked another excursion the very next day! We were beyond grateful for the INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCES they gave us!

Rented 5 jet skis on the beach at the Four Seasons from Bryan Gonzalez. Included a guide for two hours to explore nearby beaches, islands, caves, and mangrove lined inlets. Equipment was new, well maintained, and easy to operate. Guides were knowledgeable, helpful, but not instrusive. The guided tour around the waters of the Papagayo peninsula was the highlight of our trip to Costa Rica.
Amazing Jet Ski Experience
Probably one of the best vacation excursions I have had in the past 20 years! Bryan (the owner) is set up on the beach at the Four Seasons. Bryan was very helpful and not pushy at all like some beach vendors can sometimes be. We opted for the guided jet ski tour and it was worth every penny. Because we went out late in the day, Bryan sent 3 of his guys with us. We went to several different locations including some very cool caves. Along the way we saw a crocodile, sting rays and even got up close with some whales. That is a lot more exciting when you are on a jet ski vs a boat.
Our guides went above and beyond to ensure we had the time of our lives. Bryan and his crew are top notch. This is a must do activity! If we are lucky enough to visit the area again, we will be back for another excursion with Bryan. Pura Vida

What's included in the catamaran experiences?
The Premium experience includes the full private catamaran with professional crew, a private chef preparing fresh meals onboard, an open bar with premium liquor, champagne, beer, wine and handcrafted cocktails, jet skis, snorkeling gear, water activities and stops at the most beautiful spots in the Gulf of Papagayo. No hidden costs, no surprises — everything is taken care of so you only have to enjoy the day.
The Standard experience includes the private catamaran with professional crew, open bar with cocktails, beer and wine, snacks and Costa Rican fruit, jet skis, snorkeling, paddleboards and fishing, plus visits to natural sea caves, the mangrove river and Monkey Head Rock.
Is this a private tour or shared with other guests?
Every catamaran tour is completely private, only your group onboard. This is what sets us apart from typical group tours: you get the boat, the crew, and the chef exclusively for your party. Your day, your pace, your experience, whether it's a romantic getaway, a family celebration, or a group of friends.
Why is the catamaran tour priced the way it is?
Our catamaran experiences range from $2,750 to $5,850 because this is a fully private, all-inclusive charter, not a shared boat ride.
The catamaran, the crew and the chef are yours alone for the day. No other guests, no fixed schedule, and no one else deciding where you stop or how long you stay. We come to the beach where you're staying, and everything from the food to the water toys is already included.
The Kephas is a 2021 Lagoon 42 with a four-person bilingual crew, and we've been running ocean experiences in the Gulf of Papagayo since 2012.
What if the weather is bad or I need to cancel?
We keep our policy simple and fair. If we ever need to cancel due to weather or operational reasons, you receive a full 100% refund, no questions asked, or we reschedule if you prefer. Your safety and experience always come first.
Cancellations more than 5 days before the tour receive a 100% refund of the deposit. Between 48 hours and 5 days before, you receive a 75% refund. Within 48 hours, the deposit is retained, as the catamaran, crew, chef and provisions have already been reserved exclusively for your group.
How do I book and secure my date?
Dates fill up quickly, especially during peak season and for sunset tours. To lock in your preferred date, simply contact us and check availability and reserve with a deposit. Once confirmed, your date is fully secured and we handle every detail from there. We recommend booking as early as possible to guarantee your spot.
Should I book directly with you or through Viator?
You'll find us on Viator and other platforms because that's where many travelers start their search, and we want to be there. However, booking directly with us gives you the best experience: faster responses, full flexibility to customize your day, and direct communication with our team from the moment you reserve until you step off the catamaran. Either way, you're getting the same premium private experience that has earned us over 25,000 satisfied guests in 14+ years.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept international wire transfer, credit card and PayPal (subject to a 8% processing fee).
A deposit confirms your date: $500 for catamaran charters and $200 for boat experiences. For jet skis, the deposit depends on how many units you reserve. The deposit is part of your total price, not an additional charge.
The balance is settled on the day of the tour, in cash (USD) or by wire transfer beforehand. Once your deposit is received, you'll get a written confirmation with all your tour details, and the date is yours.
Cancellation policy
We understand that travel plans can change, so our policy is designed to be as fair and transparent as possible:
More than 5 days before the tour: full 100% refund of the deposit.
Between 48 hours and 5 days before the tour: 75% refund of the deposit.
Within 48 hours of the tour, or no-shows: the deposit is non-refundable at this stage and no additional charge applies, as we've already reserved the catamaran, crew, chef, and provisions exclusively for your group.
If we ever need to cancel due to weather or operational reasons, you receive a full 100% refund, no questions asked — or we can reschedule for another date if you prefer. Your safety and experience always come first.
How these timeframes apply
All timeframes are calculated from the scheduled tour start time, Costa Rica time (CST).
Cancellations must be sent via WhatsApp or email to our booking channels. The date and time the message is received determines the applicable window.
A no-show is defined as the guest not arriving at the meeting point within 30 minutes of the agreed time, without prior notice.
Refunds are processed within 1–5 business days via the original payment method. For PayPal payments, the 8% platform fee is non-refundable.
