To secure your reservation, we require a deposit that is part of the total tour price, payable via international wire transfer (no additional fees) or PayPal (includes an 8% processing fee). The remaining balance can be paid on the day of the tour, either in cash (USD) or by wire transfer before the experience. Once your deposit is received, you'll receive a written confirmation with all the details of your tour, and your date is fully secured. Why is the catamaran tour priced the way it is?

Our catamaran tours range from $1,950 to $6,000 because this is a fully private, all-inclusive luxury experience, not a shared boat ride. The price reflects a private catamaran, professional crew, private chef, premium open bar, water toys, and over 15 years of experience crafting flawless days at sea. When you split the cost across a group of 6 to 10 guests with absolutely everything included, our guests find it's one of the best values of their entire trip.

What if the weather is bad or I need to cancel?

Cancellations more than 5 days before the tour receive a 100% refund of the deposit. More than 48 hours before, you get a 75% refund. If we ever need to cancel due to weather or operational reasons, you receive a full 100% refund, no questions asked. Your safety and experience always come first.

How do I book and secure my date?

Dates fill up quickly, especially during peak season and for sunset tours. To lock in your preferred date, simply contact us and check availability and reserve with a deposit. Once confirmed, your date is fully secured and we handle every detail from there. We recommend booking as early as possible to guarantee your spot.

Should I book directly with you or through Viator?

Providing it is voluntary, but withholding it may prevent us from operating safely, and in that case we may be unable to accommodate certain requests.

When you visit our website we use Google Analytics, which collects standard technical data such as IP address,browser type, device, pages viewed and time spent. 4. How long we keep it

Booking and billing records are retained for five years, in line with Costa Rican tax and accounting requirements. Enquiries that do not result in a booking are retained for up to two years. Health information provided for a specific experience is retained only for as long as needed to operate that experience and to meet our legal obligations.

5. Your rights

Under Costa Rican Law No. 8968 you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to request deletion where we are not legally required to retain it, to withdraw consent for uses that depend on it, and to object to specific processing.

To exercise any of these rights, write to team@tropicalexplorerscostarica.com. We will respond within five business days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may file a complaint with the Agencia de Protección de Datos de los Habitantes (PRODHAB) in Costa Rica.

6. Security

We limit access to personal data to the people who need it to do their work, use password-protected accounts and reputable service providers, and do not store full payment card details on our own systems. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

7. International guests

Our guests come from many countries. Where you are protected by data protection laws in your own jurisdiction, such as the GDPR in Europe or the CCPA in California, we will honour requests made under those laws to the extent they apply.
