Beach Hopping & Snorkeling in Guanacaste, Costa Rica

Slip into clear water and swim among reef fish, rays and turtles in water warm enough that you won't want to get out. The reefs in the Gulf sit close to shore in sheltered bays, so the visibility holds and the swimming is easy, good for first-timers and children as much as for anyone who's done it before.

Playa Nacascolito, Zapotillal, Blanca Sur, Piculín and Palmares are among the quietest beaches on the northern coast, and most of them have no road in. There's no beach bar, no vendors and usually nobody else, just the boat, the sand and the water.

We anchor wherever the day looks best, and the chef serves lunch onboard while you swim. It's the part of the Gulf that people who've been coming to Guanacaste for years still haven't seen, because you can only reach it by sea.
